We believe in a systems approach to creating a more sustainable, healthy and fair food system for Shropshire. That means joined-up across our policies at County Council level - connecting the dots in ways that support food businesses and producers, reduce our environmental impact, improve health and food access, and reduce waste.

Bishop's Castle is the first community in Shropshire County to create its own Food Strategy, and the first to initiate a local Food Policy Council. This is a partnership between the local Council, community members and the SGFP, with the aim of advancing Good Food in Bishop's Castle.
