GET INVOLVED

Join our Good Food Revolution!

Along with becoming a member, there are many ways that you can take action with the Shropshire Good Food Partnership.

Join the Advisory Group

Our Advisory Group includes representatives from key sectors of Shropshire’s food system and has the remit of providing leadership for the development of the network. If you are interested in becoming a member of the SGFP Advisory Committee, please contact us and include which sector you represent as well as your relevant experience and food system interests.

Join the Action

If you are passionate about a particular aspect of the food system and like to really get stuck in,

join one of our Action Groups.

We have 6 main areas of focus, led by dynamic local experts.

  • Healthy Food for All: Kate Garner

  • Nature Connection: Paul Newman

  • Grow Local: Daphne Du Cros

  • Wise Land Stewardship: Steven “Jake” Jacobs

  • Waste Reduction: Mark Foxall and Katy Anderson

  • Sustainable Food Economy: Jenny Rouquette

Become Good Food Champion

Our Ambassadors spread the word about the work and values of the Partnership across the county. They're essential to building our network of members and helping us make contacts, allowing us to broaden our links and impact across Shropshire's Food System.

Host a Food Assembly

If you are concerned about food and farming issues in your area, please get in touch. We want to support and encourage all communities to be having discussions about food resilience and sustainability.

A local food assembly could help you to:

  • Bring together the many voices of communities across Shropshire so that their visions of a better food system can be shared

  • Help the SGFP define its priorities over the next 12 months, based on what's important to communities across the county

  • Identify projects and local champions across Shropshire and see how the Partnership could support their work by making links to funding opportunities

  • Define issues, actions and desired outcomes that the Partnership could take forward as recommendations to Shropshire Council for a County-Wide Food Strategy

Volunteer at Upcoming Events

Keep an eye on our News/Events page and social media feeds for opportunities to take part.

We hold regular monthly 'Drop in' calls for people who are interested in our work and want to know where they can fit and share their ideas. Details of these calls are posted in advance on social media and on our News/Events page.

Share your News, Events and Successes

Please help us amplify the visibility of Good Food across Shropshire by sharing information of upcoming events, skill-shares, opportunities, and best practices on your farm or food business.

Please email hello@shropshiregoodfood.org with information and images that you'd like us to share on social media and with our members.

If you would like to be involved in any of these areas please get in touch with our coordinator Daphne at hello@shropshiregoodfood.org.
